Pilgrim Learning Community aims to offer, in cooperation with Presbyteries, Congregations and agencies, a range of learning opportunities around Queensland, to serve the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod, and the general community. You can find out more in the “About Us” section.
The rising sun represents the new dawn, the new Age, the kingdom which was inaugurated with the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and in which we are called to live. The rising sun also represents the Christ, the “dawn from on high” (Luke 1:78). The path is the pilgrim way, the way of discipleship into which Christ calls us. He has gone before and we follow his footprints. Other disciples have also walked the joyous, narrow way before us, and we are in the company of many others. The land is ochre coloured to remind us that most of us are called to live our Christian lives in Australia. The colour also reminds us of the first people, those who cared for the land as a sacred trust for 50,000 years or more. The way leads through the waters of baptism. By the threefold name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit we are baptised into the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the waters of baptism we die to the old way of life and rise to the new life with Christ.

Gospel Values As the Uniting Church in Queensland sharing in God’s mission in the world, we will be guided by values that derive from and give expression to God’s reconciling action in Jesus Christ. In response to God’s grace, we are called to live out these values:

These gospel values will inform our lives as individuals and as the community of the Uniting Church in Queensland.
